My Approach to Trauma Therapy in San Diego

Trauma can be complex, shaping both what we’re aware of and what operates beneath the surface. I work with clients to build a safe, trusting relationship where we can gently begin processing past or recent experiences and move toward healing. Trauma is something that happened to us—it is not who we are.

Many of the emotional responses and limiting beliefs we carry are rooted in the limbic system, the part of the brain tied to survival and memory. Using Brainspotting we access these deeper brain areas to help release stored trauma and bring awareness to patterns that may be holding you back. As a somatic, brain-based therapy, Brainspotting can reach beyond traditional talk therapy—helping you create permanent change in your brain, mind, and body.
